Microsoft Project Overview
Streamline and manage projects, resources, and portfolios the smarter way, with Project from Microsoft. Project allows users to get started quickly and execute plans with ease. Built-in templates, familiar scheduling tools, and access across every device helps project managers and their teams stay productive and on-task.
Project 2013 has new and improved features from the previous 2010 version, such as exporting Project reports, timelines, or data to other Office programs. If you have Lync 2010 or later installed, users can start an IM session, email, or phone without having to leave Project. This is useful for individuals not requiring collaboration tools and other advanced features.
Project 2016 includes significant updates to Project Professional, Project Pro for Office 365 and Project online. These upgrades include Resource Engagements, changes to Resource Manager, resource capacity heat maps, timelines, Tell Me, and more. 2016 is a complete on-premise project and portfolio management solution.
Project 2021 provides the latest updates from the Project management software. Project 2021 introduces Roadmap, which allows you to view your organization's projects in one place, and connect to projects from different apps. Customize your Task Board to show important details and keep projects better organized.
